Toshiro Kurosawa is a Fiend player in Endless Utopia Online. In-game, he is known as Mortherion Blackwyng, younger brother of the current Emperor of Darkness Zaetharion II Blackwyng. He serves as the lord captain of the Imperial Guard.
Appearance[]
Toshiro's Avatar, Mortherion, is a pale-skinned, tall and muscular man. He has long black hair that reaches to his waist, which he ties into a ponytail at the back of his head, with two shoulder-length bangs framing his face. His eyes are deep purple, which he keep in a stern or disinterested look most of the time.
As the captain he is generally seen wearing the uniform of the Imperial guard, consisting of knee-length black coat, with lining in purple and red and buttons in golden, with black breeches and knee-high dark brown boots, and he may equip a cloak that's shaped like a bat's wings. Over that, he occasionally wears the armor, consisting of breastplate, pauldrons, greaves, and vambraces, all black with purple edges and details, and a matching helm shaped like a bat.
Personality[]
Being in-game born into a Fiend noble family, Toshiro possesses the strength and power desired by the Fiends. Because of this, he is generally seen composed, confident, displaying cold and calculating personality most of the time. His calmness helps him make rational decisions, him keep his thoughts free of any emotional interference.
Toshiro is an aloof man of few words, speaking as little as necessary. Whenever he does, its in a slow and steady, but nevertheless pronounced and strict way. He is more or less emotionless, and wears a cold and serious expression most of the time, with only anger, annoyance, and dissatisfaction occasionally, but rarely, showing on his face.
He displays a strong sense of loyalty towards his brother, his family and the Fiend Empire, and this loyalty is what dictates most of his actions and his decision-making.
Toshiro is a sharp observer, who is quick to see through lies and deception.
In battle, he judges his enemy's power and delivers the exact minimum amount needed for a swift win. Toshiro is extremely confident of his abilities, but not to the point of being vain or showing of. Being mainly concerned about his duty, he typically wants to finish a fight as soon as possible, and if anyone in his way was considered an enemy he would quickly exterminate without hesitation. Despite this, he relishes battles with strong opponents.
Toshiro takes notable pride in his position as the Lord Captain of the Imperial Guard. He's an adamant rule-follower, with deep respect towards the hierarchy and the rules of the Imperial Guard. He expects nothing more than utmost loyalty from all of its members, and for them to accomplish objectives as he or the Emperor order them. He is quick to berate failures and is also unafraid to make threats if needed and to punish any insubordination swiftly and according to the offense committed. Despite his harshness towards his subordinates, Toshiro holds himself the same standards he sets for them, and by his own claim "he would never ask them to do anything he was not capable of doing himself, or willing to do by himself".

Out of all the members of the Imperial Guard, Mortherion has the most respect for Candelaria due to her loyalty and adherance to rules and order. Mortherion trusts her enough to grant her the de-facto second-in-command, despite of her being rank 4 in the Imperial Guard. They are quite close, borderline friends, and only slighly distant due to their rank.

Mortherion is an exceptionally strong Fiend with incredible Aera reserves. Being chosen by his own brother to serve as the Lord Captain of the Imperial Guard, he is widely regarded as the strongest of the group, and therefore, one of the strongest Fiends players in the whole game.
Being an Alterer, Mortherion has descent knowledge over the basic techniques of Alteration, namely Warrior's Heart and Accel Step, both of which he uses to complement his fighting style. Mortherion also has experience with hand to hand combat, but rarely uses his fists in combat, preferring to rely of his weapons or his Aera.
A master swordsman, Mortherion excels at the usage of his Daisho. His main weapon is the katana, Nightfall, the heirloom sword of House Blackwyng, given to him by his brother, since According to the emperor himself, Mortherion is the better swordsman of the two. His first attack tends to be an incredibly quick sword-draw, which is generally enough to either kill or damage severely his opponents. After that, he generally switches to a two-handed grip. Whenever he gets more serious, he draws his wakizashi alongside it, allowing his to deliver a flurry of attacks.
Fitting his race, Mortherion is quite reliant on Darkness. He relies on the sword style of his noble family, Midnight's Edge, which allow him to generate and manipulate dozens of sharp blades shaped like a crescent moon from his sword that constantly changes in size, length and speed, making his fighting style rather unpredictable.
Rather impresivelly, Mortherion is notably skilled in the usage of Lightning, the augmented form of his elemental aversion, Light (albiet he learned Lightning by first learning Fire). He has shown skill in regular techniques such as Thunder Palm, mainly using it as a typical punishment against insubordination among the Imperial Guard, Lightning Spear and Lightning Claw. He mainly uses Lightning Flow to complement his swordsmanship, and also unleashing lightningbolts as he swings his blade. He typically uses this technique while at the same time using Midnight's Edge.
Despite his impressive abilities, Mortherion's ace is his Crafted Element, Black Lightning, the result of the combination between the two elements he has mastered: Darkness and Lightning. Though he is capable of using Black Lightning in regular Lightning techniques, he mainly uses it to enhance the power of his swordsmanship to nearly unmatchable levels. Due to the high demand of Aera required to use this Element, plus the concentration needed, Mortherion doesn't use Midnight's Edge while using this Element.
Mortherion learned Lightning by using Fire, and he is presumebly quite skilled at it's usage.
