The Second Void Insurrection is a prophesized event in the lore of End War Online.

Overview[]

Background[]

In the aftermath of The First Void Insurrection, it was foretold by The Harbinger that such an event would occur again. It was said that another Void Avatar would appear and once again manifest Void within Creation to return everything into the nothingness from which it came.

The Nephilim Purge[]

In light of this prophecy, and due to the intense fear of Nephilim after the war, the Angels, Demons, and Humans joined forces to destroy the Nephilim in an event now known as the Nephilim Purge. All Nephilim, no matter who they were, man, woman, or child, were destroyed during this campaign in the hopes that they could prevent the prophecy from coming into fruition. Some Nephilim managed to escape the purge, however, and carried on the Nephilim lineage.

The Second Void Insurrection[]

In the modern day, Yamato Haseo appeared as the next Void Avatar the prophecy foretold. However, Yamato possessed neither the ability nor the will to cause the same devastation that had nearly destroyed Creation millennia ago.

In an ironic twist, it was not Yamato who would begin the new Void Insurrection, but a revived Cyratel, who began a new war to continue from where he was defeated thousands of years prior.

Cyratel would once again attempt to swallow Creation whole in Void, as well as attempting to access the True Soul in order to "finally be free". Cyratel held a special ire towards Yamato specifically, as he viewed him as the one who was binding him to his fate, unable to change the course of his life or make his own decisions, though Yamato himself did not discover why until near the end of the conflict.

The End[]

It would be revealed that Yamato himself was responsible for the First Void Insurrection millennia ago, by giving Cyratel the power he needed to spark the war. Due to this, Cyratel gained a deep hatred for Yamato, seeing him as the one who manipulated his fate and making his choices meaningless, as he was destined to be defeated by him no matter what. In order to break his fate, he would challenge Yamato at the path to the True Soul in an attempt to rid himself of his shackles, though would nonetheless be defeated in the attempt.
