~ Taro Senki

Taro Senki is a Armored Nexus Online Player and Legionnaire Law Enforcement Operative assigned to the Elite "Apocalypse Tetrad" Detachment as its team captain under the designation "War."

Appearance[]

Reality[]

Taro wears a typical black and white suit befitting most salarymen. The only noticeable change made is his tie, which bears a black and white skull pattern on it as his personal touch. He lacks casual attire, often just ditching his suit jacket, loosening his neck tie, and folding up his shirt sleeves.

In-Game[]

His in-game outfit is a modified version of the LLE Captain uniform: a collared wine red button-up with an orange-red necktie; a padded black military jacket with a padded collar, the Corps logo on the left breast pocket, and a more ornate Apocalypse Tetrad badge on the left upper arm; an armored cuirass, knee pads, and bracers; a utility belt running along his waist with several utility pouches and a pistol holster behind the waist; padded, dark grey gloves; and black combat pants with an accompanying utility belt and ankle-high combat boots. The Apocalypse Tetrad all wear Bluetooth earpieces for unarmored communication. Taro's captain badge is a gold, five-pointed star within a gold circle with the words "Apocalypse Tetrad Captain" at the very bottom and surrounded by various weapons: a pair of crimson swords at the top, a pale grey scythe at the bottom, a white bow and arrow on the left, and a pair of black scales on the right.

Personality[]

Taro is touted as being the absolute pinnacle of a Legionnaire. Honorable, noble, and compassionate, Taro is a good-willed individual who believes everything he does is for the greater good. His to-the-letter and by-the-book attitude make people question why he is considered the Horseman of War. In truth, Taro has a history of lapses in psyche where he goes absolutely berserk, violently slaughtering all perceived threats in front of him. To mockingly complement this, he also has a rather short temper which can be set off by even the smallest of issues. Taro himself is aware of all this, and does his absolute best to make sure he doesn't lapse in public or when on missions. In fact, he tries to plan around the possibility of a lapse occurring, always placing himself on the vanguard or as a distraction so that he can let out his inner berserker while minimizing his team's casualties. Outside of his exemplary behavior as a Legionnaire, Taro is a simple, hard-working man who does everything he can to get through the day with a smile on his face and minimal issues.

Background[]

Taro's family was more or less the average family. His father's family has a history with minor mental illness and short tempers, but his mother was able to support him through his lapses. Outside of this, Taro and his family lived an unassuming life. Mom worked at a local bakery. Dad worked as a salaryman/the family breadwinner. Every now and then, Taro would receive model kits from his father as little presents for bearing with his anger issues. They would bond together over building the model kit, even if they both shared frustrations with little issues. Taro himself didn't really stand out in school, and he was fine with this. He didn't want to explode and cause a scene, especially if he had massive pressure on his back for being academically exceptional. He left school and became a bartender for the easy money and relatively flexible work schedule, building model kits as part of his hobby. While working, a customer introduced him to Armored Nexus, where he built a few Armor Models before finally settling on his Messer variant. With this new armor in hand, Taro joined Legionnaire Law Enforcement and worked his way up to his current position as an Elite Detachment team captain.

Abilities[]

Armored Nexus Online[]

  • Corps Affiliations - Legionnaire Law Enforcement
  • Ace Ranking: B
  • Occupation - "Apocalypse Tetrad" Team Captain
  • Armor Models:

Being a team captain for the Legionnaires, Taro is a highly-skilled and very capable combatant. He is capable of fighting at any and all ranges, but he specializes in medium to close range combat. His armor is based on the Messer Type-F01 seen in Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway, making it an excellent, all-around armor capable of holding its ground. The Messer Krieg is specifically designed for close range combat, wielding the two-in-one Ruin claymore with amazing proficiency. He swings the massive blade and puts all of its weight into each strike, heaving the gigantic sword around in slow, powerful slashes. Thanks to the weapon's size, it can double as a shield to defend against projectiles. If an opponent is too fast for his single sword, he'll split Ruin into its dual form, making use of wide, horizontal sweeping strikes, vertical smashes, and/or heavy thrusts. Combined with the Messer's various thrusters, Taro is able to jet around the battlefield with high maneuverability. When wielded in his blind berserker rage, Taro becomes an unstoppable force of pure destructive power while his team executes the main objective.

Trivia[]

  • Taro's surname means "War Machine," while his username means "Lord of Soldiers."
  • Taro is heavily influenced by John Walker from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
    • Much like how "John" is a common, almost generic, western name, Taro is a very common Japanese given name.
  • He is also inspired by War from Darksiders.
