The Phalanx Buster is Katie Kurasaki's shield in Hazard ReBurst, provided to her thanks to her Valvrave Archetype choice and modified to her personal tastes.
Design[]
This large, semi-transparent shield is yellow in color and octagonal in shape. The majority of the shield is composed of a mix between crystallized Rave Energy and a metallic alloy for extreme defensive prowess, all encompassed within a full metallic frame. Said outer frame is a polished silver for Katie, though its color varies depending on its user.
Capabilities[]
Being a shield, the Phalanx Buster is designed to defend against attacks of any kind; physical, elemental, energy-based. While most effective against anti-Valvrave weapons, it is more than capable of defending against other weapons perfectly fine. Of course, the durability does wear down over time. Durability can be restored through routine post-mission maintenance or infusing the shield with Rave Energy if in a tight situation. Infusion with Rave Energy can also be used to produce jagged spikes on the outward surface of the shield, allowing Katie to ram into her enemies with the shield.
