Oscar Erde is an Armored Nexus Online Player who runs the in-game Erde Enterprise, providing players with Lore packages that give them access to nanite-based equipment. He's reputed to be the first person to make such extensive use of nanotechnology, but was also the person who failed the Nanotech Approval Questline the most in his pursuit of the equipment.

Being a nightclub owner, Oscar wears black chinos pants, a white dress shirt, black waistcoat with white pinstripes, and a black sports jacket. Some nights, he wears a dark red tie. Other nights, he wears a similarly-colored bow tie or no tie at all. His casual wear is a set of black jeans, a white t-shirt, and his black sports jacket.

As the president of a large tech company, Oscar is a sharply-dressed man. He's always seen in some kind of expensive suit modelled after real-life tailors such as Tom Ford or H. Huntsman and Sons, favoring the former's Black Silk Shelton suit during the day and the latter's Black Mohair Single Breasted Peak Lapel evening suit for the night.
Personality[]
Oscar is a narcissistic, egotistical, overconfident show-off who fights for glory and to prove his products' superiority. He's intrusive, unpleasantly outgoing, and loud. There's never a moment where he doesn't brag about something he's done or something he pretends to have done to sound cool. His arrogance leads him to constantly take the credit for any breakthroughs someone working for him creates, and he always expect to come out on top no matter the cost. Add in his playboy mannerisms and hit-or-miss charisma, and Oscar's ego becomes one of the biggest there is. He even brags about how he was born on February 29th, otherwise known as Leap Day, and claims that his birthday is a rare event meant to be celebrated by everyone regardless of what they're doing and who they are. Behind his frail, inflated ego lies a man who craves attention and praise. He focuses on his accomplishments to hide the fact that he feels insecure about being a foreigner in Japan. Oscar will fly into a wild rage should his products or company be insulted to any extent, taking any means necessary to preserve his company's public image and integrity. He'll even resort to cheating and underhanded techniques to win, which is one of the many reasons for his failure in the Nanotech Approval quests.
Background[]
Oscar's family hails from Germany. They moved to Japan and settled in Roppongi, where one of Oscar's ancestors opened a nightclub that became quite popular. His family eventually became known for their German-style drinks and food served at the nightclub, attracting a large crowd of customers. Oscar is the fourth generation owner of the Erde Nacht Tanzen nightclub, and spends a large amount of time gaming when he's not running the club and flaunting his heritage and success. While he never had a particular interest in model kits, his curiosity about Armored Nexus Online led Oscar to invest into a few kits and practice his skills, hoping to find something else to brag about. Once he entered the game and successfully completed the Nanotech Approval Questline after an unspecified amount of failed attempts, Oscar set up an in-game company hoping to distribute nanotechnology to all players in-game and find yet another achievement to brag about.

Oscar is a mediocre builder and awful fighter at best. His model is baseline assembly, with very little attention to detail outside of aesthetics. He doesn't even fight himself, relying mostly on his nanotech to provide him with different weapons and shields for any situation. However, this high level of versatility with the nanites, combined with the excessive amount of nanite refills he has, allows Oscar to utterly decimate the field with the sheer amount of weapons he can deploy at once. His mainstay weapons include energy rifles, a heavy gatling cannon, micro-missile launchers, and his signature Nanite Railgun designed for finishing the enemy off in one shot. He prefers to fight from far away so he can launch a barrage of projectile attacks, and therefore lacks in close-range and melee combat. He doesn't have any other notable skills, outside of semi-decent economics knowledge and the competence to run a large tech company.
