So I made a page on another wiki (This one ) and I was just scrolling by like a few hours later and well I found you. So the funny thing is my character has the same name as you. Yep that's it well sorry to waste your time. Bye.
I see you decided to turn your articles into weapon types and...It doesn't quite work for me. Mostly because it's obvious that they're weapon types. You don't see an Article here for Swords, Katanas, etc...
How can we work this out? I'm still interested in creating a co-owned article with a new type of skills named "Composite Skills", or something like that.
Sorry, had a bit of work to do to Flail before I got back to you.
I feel it boils down to how much detail you want to go into. Swords, Katanas, Rapiers, etc don't need articles because they're covered extensively in canon media. My own «Flail» isn't -- it's a fanon creation made possible by examples in canon. I felt it needed an article if only to list its pros and cons.
That said, I've updated it again. Its now a sub-category of Mace and its Sword Skills are «Composite». That should address any concerns about it. Rather than explain it all here my thought process and references are on the page. Author's notes specifically.
As for the «Composite» page? I feel that only needs a sub-section on the main SAO Fanon Skills page, rather than a whole new page. If we use a table it'll keep it all neat and tidy. See Dancing (Kenji)#Composition for an example: I use one such table there.
Ah, this is what threw me: You may vote on any character, story, weapon, etc. other than your own.
You see, I thought that applied to the submissions made in the poll. I do have an antagonist guild for my stories but that'll come in later and not everything's been ironed out yet. I also haven't a submission for 10. With that in mind simply ignore my 9th and 10th submissions.
The overall story told in each chapter hasn't changed, but I have included more details, whilst moving around a few of the dates (1st chapter takes place a day earlier). Had an inkling that there were a few clashes, and this was confirmed when I re-read both Progressive and the original novels. The descriptions, especially how my characters actually feel, have also been touched on a lot more. I've also improved the grammar a fair bit.
I certainly enjoyed expanding on them, and I hope the changes I've made have improved them. The plan is to eventually give all my currently published chapters the same treatment. As of this message the first three have been completed and I've published three others: Inbetweeners I, II and III.
So, yeah. I'd recommend you give them a re-read. And thanks for taking the time to read them initially!
Considering the content I've seen in your articles, you seem to know quite a bit about SAO. Then I should tell you, this is a fanon wiki that does not affect the things that happen in the Canon story line of SAO. In other words: we don't affect the major facts or events of SAO. For more info, check our SAO Fanon Writing Policy.
I mention this because the Unique Sword Skill, Darkness Blade, Exists within cannon, it just doesn't have a user.
So you need to either: change the name of the skill, or set your story in non-canon status and publish it somewhere else, (ei: FanFic.net). You can still create the for your characters and other stuff here, but the story itself has to be linked somewhere else.
Hey there and thanks for the welcome! At the moment the overall pace and backstory of my work will use the story as outlined in the Progressive light novels. As far as that goes it'll be canon. It will just be from the POV of my own characters. Kirito and Asuna won't feature early outside a few throwaway references to a "black garbed swordsman who steals all the last attacks bonuses" or some such.
Of course they'll be some larger quest chains my characters take part in that will be my own creations, and the same will likely apply to weapons and equipment. I've already got a set of claws introduced -- I just haven't posted an article about them yet.
As for the guild. I've got them listed as a clearer guild but that won't be the case for a few floors up. As for the guild abbreviation. That's merely tongue in cheek. At face value its supposed to be taken the way you have -- BS being short for bull shit. The true meaning in this case is "British Standard" and is more of a statement of intent. Without revealing too many spoilers one of the activities Brightscale gets involved with is guarded tours of the monster infested catacombs in the main town of the 5th Floor. These tours last an hour -- the same as the relic hunting buff -- and are designed to facilitate greater resources amongst the tourists who come up from the Town of Beginnings. These tours are where the true meaning of BS would be addressed in-story -- it's self-promotion that their service is essentially up to snuff in the way goods and services tagged with BS are up to a certain standard in Britain. Up until then though most assume its shorthand for bull shit and this was designed specifically to offer up some confusion and humour when my characters do interact with other players in-story.
Think of it as being similar to how the meaning behind the guild Qusack's name isn't immediately identifiable without an explanation.
