With her not being social, it's hard for her to interact with almost anybody, sadly including her family.
But with the announcement of the new VRMMORPG Sword Art Online, she saw a chance to start a new life even though it wasn't permanent. So she treats her online life as if she where honestly alive.
Though when SAO was taken over, it didn't really shock her as much as it would anybody else.
She really didn't have anything that she missed, so she just went on with her day.
