The Prydes have always shown an affinity to the element of Sun, which is in part why they chose it as their sigil. When an Aera student tries to learn the enhanced forms of Fire, it's typically a 50-50 chance than the player will have a higher affinity for Lightning (EUO) or Sun. However, the Prydes have from a 70 to a 90 percent higher chance to learn Sun first. This is mostly due to their genes and generation after generation of nearly perfecting the usage of solar flames.
Some of the techniques created by this house includes Phoebus Blow and Raging Prominence. An ancient member of House Pryde also created the Sun variation of Dragon's Dance.
Besides Sun, Prydes have shown an proficiency for Light as well.
