Griffons are a species of animals in Endless Utopia Online.
Biology[]
Griffons are imposing, powerful quadrupeds, resembling a majestic fusion of eagle and lion. They possess sharp, bird-like talons on both their forelimbs and hindlimbs, along with broad, feathered wings. Their bodies are muscular and robust, built for both flight and combat. The front half of a griffon features the regal head of an eagle, with a hooked, razor-sharp beak and piercing, intelligent eyes.
Their wings are grand and feathered, often adorned in striking hues of gold and brown, creating a vivid contrast against their lion-like hindquarters. A long tail, reminiscent of a lion's, lends balance and grace to their movements, while also doubling as a whip-like weapon in battle.
Griffons typically appear in shades of black, brown, tawny, white, or a combination of these colors, creating a variety of striking patterns.
When born, a griffon is about the size of an adult cat, but once fully matured, they surpass a horse in size, though they remain smaller than a full-grown Wyvern. Even at full size, a griffon is more than capable of flying with two or more passengers on its back.

Griffons are highly intelligent, proud, sociable and observant creatures.
As social animals, they are unique among birds, living in flocks of around four to ten adult members, that are structured around complex social hierarchies. Within these flocks,they exhibit loyalty and a strong sense of teamwork, especially when hunting or protecting their territory. Male griffons are protective and dominant, often taking the role of defending the flock, while females are the primary hunters and caregivers.
Griffons can be affectionate with members of their pride, showing social bonds through grooming, nuzzling, and playful behavior. They value companionship and cooperation within their group, which helps them survive and thrive in the wild. However, griffons are also highly territorial and can be ruthless when it comes to defending their domain from intruders or rival flocks.
When feeling menaced, a griffon will fix its sharp, keen eyes on the intruder, screeching loudly while flapping its wings aggressively against its body. In such situations, maintaining eye contact and moving slowly is strongly advised when approaching or retreating from a griffon. Demonstrating respect through calm and measured actions can help diffuse tension, as these proud creatures respond well to those who show them proper deference.
Once tamed, Griffons are not as proud, and may happily aproach their tamer to have thier head and bodies carressed gently.
