Eclipse Genesis Arc is the 6th Arc in the Sword Art Online series.
Introduction[]
Six months after the events of Unital Ring. In 2027, the world is recovering from the chaos caused by the merger of VRMMORPGs into Unital Ring. Government oversight of virtual technology has been tightened, but innovation continues. Kirigaya Kazuto, now 20, has been avoiding VRMMORPGs, hoping to put the SAO incident behind him. Suspecting that the new company will do the same as the other failed companies from 2022. But he backed out when strange anomalies began to threaten the stability of FullDive's global networks.
He delves into a new VRMMORPG that was recently released by startup company NoctSys. Called ECLIPSE, which uses the new Ego-Imprint Dive (EID) system in its system.
