BST-08, named Garuda, is the eighth BST-Frame uncovered in Armor Blitz Online.
Appearance[]
BST-08 shares the humanoid appearance of all BST-Frames. Its armor features mainly smooth and round contours and edges. Its head is also humanoid shaped, featuring armor that encompasses the entire head, and also features a face plate and two V-fins. It possesses four thrusters on its back, as well as additional thrusters on the bottom of its feet. It features a large camera that can be deployed at the top of the head. It features a gray and green color scheme with yellow energy.
Weaponry[]
All of BST-08's weaponry is included integrally to the frame, though much of its most prominent weaponry is mounted externally due to the nature of said weapons.
Energy Blade - BST-08 features a single energy blade mounted on its left arm for use in close combat. Though the frame is mainly dedicated to ranged combat, it is still capable of defending itself in close quarters should the need arise.
Rapid Energy Caster - BST-08 features two rapid energy casters, one for each arm. It is capable of laying down a rapid succession of energy bolts to attack at a distance. Additionally, the energy casters possess a secondary mode that allows them to fire single, more powerful shots that are more accurate and can be used to attack at longer ranges.
Micro-Missile Launcher - BST-08 is equipped with a series of micro-missile launchers that can deploy a series of powerful homing explosives outwards. These are mainly used for mid-ranged combat, and are capable of effectively saturating an area with explosive force, or can be used to deter incoming threats at a distance.
AD Rifle - BST-08 is equipped with a single energy rifle integral to its right arm, the barrel of which is flipped backwards past the elbow. When deployed, the weapon flips out and transforms, the forearm of the frame also converting to serve as the rifle's main body. The head mounted camera is also deployed and acts as the rifle's scope, providing extremely long distance targeting acquisition. The rifle is extremely powerful and pinpoint accurate, allowing the frame to operate at ranges beyond the ability for enemies to retaliate.
AD Cannon - BST-08 is equipped with an extremely powerful AD Cannon, which is fired with the use of the weapon pylons mounted on the back. When activated, the pylons flip forward over the shoulders, and the frame deploys a series of fins that is used to condense the frame's AD Field to charge the weapon. Once fired, the cannon produces a single massive beam of incredible power that is capable of destroying nearly anything in its path. While the AD Cannon is able to be fired with varying charge levels, at full power the weapon requires the frame to be mounted on the ground to suppress the massive recoil of the weapon.
Garuda's AD Cannon is its most powerful weapon, and it is noted to be the most powerful iteration of the weapon seen on any BST-Frame discovered so far.
Performance[]
BST-08 is an extremely powerful machine that specializes mainly at long range. To this end, it features a massive amount of firepower to allow it to shoot down its targets at a safe distance away, with a unique AD Rifle that can fire compressed AD Energy that can pierce through AD Barriers. Further, its AD Cannon is the largest and most powerful seen in any BST-Frame currently uncovered, unleashing a massive beam of energy that is capable of disintegrating entire swathes of the battlefield. At close range, the frame is still capable of defending itself, utilizing micro-missile launchers to deter threats before they get to close, as well as rapid energy casters that can be used at mid to close range to shoot down its targets. As a last resort, it features a single energy blade that is just as powerful as energy blades mounted on dedicated close combat BST-Frames. BST-08 is less maneuverable and slower than such frames in close combat, but compensates for this with extremely precise fire and a large degree of situational awareness, its multiple optical sensors providing a sphere of sight around the frame, making it difficult to ever catch the frame off-guard.
