The hair of many Avians tends to be feather-like, with a thick strand and several smaller vanes and barbs coming out of it.

The Avians organize themselves as a confederation, with a non-existent centralized government and the Avian lords serving as administrators of their region, and have authority over everything that happens in their fief. In case of any disagreements between lords, the High Consulate is assembled, made of members of each Avian Noble House, which discuss the matter.
In matters that concern the whole of the nation, the Council elects one of it's members to serve as the First Consul, who serves as the main commander of the Avian forces and the diplomatic representative of the nation.

Avians excel in the usage of Wind. They are naturally adapted to use Wind at their will. Due to the mountainous territory they live on, Avians generally travel by flying. Avians get considerably weaker when their sources of air run low (for instance, inside a cave or underwater). They can also use Fire, Light, Darkness, and the empowered forms of Wind, Air or Sound. They are not so skilled at using Water and much less on Earth.
Avians are naturally faster and more agile than the rest of the races. They are also the most skilled in terms of using flying techniques. Additionally, due to the high altitude of most of their territory, Avians are well adapted to low oxygen and do not suffer from hypoxia.
