Airi Isurugi is a Hazard ReBurst Player who works under the Nebula Oscillation mercenary service. In reality, she works at the Espresso Valet cosplay Cafe, where her co-workers play the game with her. Her twin sister Mari is a fellow player and employee.

Her work outfit is a red and black double-breasted chef's coat; a black thigh-length skirt with red details; a full-length white apron; white thigh-high stockings; simple red shoes; and gold lace garter. Her hair is typically kept in a short bob. Her casual outfit is simple: a red shirt, a denim short-shorts, black leggings underneath said shorts; red Converse sneakers, and a red and orange zip hoodie.
In-Game[]
Her in-game outfit is modified from Nebula Oscillation's female uniform. Airi wears black combat boots, black leggings with dark red short shorts, an orange-red blouse with yellow flame patterns, a black over-bust corset with red lace details, and a red jacket with two thin coattails and a white stripe running down the jacket's right side and sleeve. Nebula Oscillation's logo is emblazoned on the back of this jacket, a stylized image of the Helix Nebula with three Vs running through the center of it. She also wears a belt with suspenders left dangling on either side.
Upon summoning her Valvrave, Airi enters a white and red Anti-Hazard Frame. Its slender limbs, shorter torso block, and more exaggerated hips give it a more feminine profile that mirrors Airi's hourglass figure. Her skirting armor closely resembles an actual pleated skirt, albeit with two angular flaps at the front and orange flame patterns. The thighs contain exposed strips of the Frame's Rave Circulation Network, which occasionally glow with red streams of light when in intense combat. The left leg's red-colored streak is aligned with this exposed strip. Its head unit boasts a unique blade antenna resembling her Siren weapon's enhanced sword form, being a red scimitar-like blade that splits the entire face in half; it also features a dark red mouthpiece outlined in white with a dual face vent design. Her Ardor SMGs are stored on thigh hardpoints, while the hip armor includes sheath hardpoints for the Razor Nova swords and the backpack includes a unique docking point for Siren.
Personality[]
In stark contrast to her twin, Airi is a sweet, gentle girl who rarely yells or loses her temper. Her heart is too kind to tell off people who are objectively rude or indecent, thus necessitating Mari stepping in and be the harsh twin. She is a bit naive and lacking in knowledge concerning lewd stuff, resulting in the occasional unintentional innuendo. Nonetheless, she is a lovely, patient girl who is easy to talk to and earning her the "gentle" twin moniker. Owing to her mother's guidance, Airi has a very generous heart and is more than happy to help others however she can, whether by cooking, baking, or offering a bit of sage advice. In-game, she becomes much more stern, serious, and commanding, demanding precise timing and intense concentration that very few can match.
Background[]
Mari and Airi lived very normal lives. While Mari spent time with her father learning how to take care of the house, Airi and her mother cooked meals for the two. Even as a young child, Airi demonstrated a love of cooking, and so her mother nurtured this by teaching her recipes, starting from simple stews to eventually baking pastries and more intricate meals. The Isurugi family were completely content with their lives. Even though they didn't attended elite schools, the twins performed well enough in school to keep their parents happy. An unfortunate incident with Mari's high school ex-boyfriend was the reason she started dyeing her hair and her cautious approach to men and romance. When a friend suggested starting a cosplay cafe as work, they agreed and provided assistance wherever possible. Airi became head of the bakery staff while Mari handled front of staff as a waitress. When their cafe became popular enough to maintain a steady source of income, another co-worker/friend suggested a game for everyone to play together as a form of team-bonding and stress relief. Thus, the Isurugi twins became the legendary Aegis twins.

Despite her aversion to combat, Airi is a dexterous combatant skilled with dual-wielding. She wields her Razor Novae with grace and speed, deftly wielding 6 shortswords with magnetic tethers to call her blades back after throwing them. Her dual Ardor SMGs emphasize DPS, firing rapid bursts of superheated Valkorium. However, her signature weapon is the Siren, an immensely powerful energy sword/cannon for dealing serious damage in one attack. If Siren alone isn't enough, Airi can add a few Razor Novae to activate the Inferno Siren, boosting its power for a few final attacks. Thus, Airi is usually assigned to defensive roles owing to her pacifistic nature, much to Mari's chagrin.

- She's based on Pyra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
- Airi dyed her hair red to easily distinguish herself from her sister. Like Mari, her natural hair color is blonde.
- Her cooking has received many praises, being distinguished as "god-like" among the cafe's customers.
- Mari and Airi share the same figure, though Airi has a slightly bigger bust. Both are F-cups.
- The twins have a very low alcohol tolerance. Mari gets drunk after two beers, so Airi abstains from drinking all together.
- Airi is the younger of the twins, born just 2 minutes after Mari.
