Agea is the name of the fantasy world of Endless Utopia Online.
Overview[]
Agea is a round planet (though many in-game creatures believe it to be flat) approximately as large as real-life Earth, with similar climates, biomes, weather, fauna, plant life, etc...
Only 30% to 50% of Agea has been mapped. This region is referred to as "The Known World", and is composed of a vast water known as the Endless Ocean, which can divided into several seas, and the only known continent of Uthopos, which is also divided into six different territories, each of them controlled by one of the six races.
The remaining 50% to 70% of the world which remains unmapped is refered to as "the unknown lands".
History[]
Full article: Endless Utopia Online/Timeline
The exact age of Agea is unknown.
Scholars have speculated on this matter for hundreds of years, with many saying that the world is millions of years old, while others saying is just hundred of thousands of years old. Since there are no accounts of its beginnings exist, as its origins predate written history, meaning that no one can know for certain.
History in Uthopos goes back thousands of years, and many legends and myths recount much of the events that happened during the beginning ages of the world. Stories of heroes and villains, monsters and demons, beasts and men. Most of these legends are openly questioned by many scholars and experts, amongst others.
Known World[]
The Known World is the section of Agea that has been mapped, and it's inhabited mainly by the Six Playable Races, with also a number of mythical beasts and other non-playable races in EUO.
Uthopos[]
Geography[]

Uthopos is the only known landmass in the known world. It is a large continent with many smaller islands around it. It is completely surrounded by the Endless Ocean.
The continent stretches for about 2,700 miles from north to south and for some 1700 miles at its widest point east to west. Uthopos is vaguely shaped like a letter S that has been slightly turned to the right side, with the northernmost regions reaching close to the polar ice cap (known as the White Hell), and its southernmost tip reaching close to to the equator.
The climate in Uthopos varies between the extremes. While the north can be incredibly cold, in the far south the terrain becomes hotter and more arid. Thanks to the different climates and the size of the continent, the biomes found in the continent are extremely varied: tundra and taiga in the northern regions, swampy marshlands, temperate forests, grasslands and mountaneous regions in the central regions, and tropical grasslands, deserts and tropical rain forests in the southern regions.
The continent's terrain varies immensely. There are numerous mountain chains, such as the Stairway to Heaven, the Dragon's Spine, the Black Spike Mountains, the Rainbow Ridge, and the Winter Spires. There are also several important rivers, such as the Angel's Tears, the Brimstone, the Silver Rush and the [REDACTED].
The continent is also home to immense woodlands, such as the Northern Forest, the Ebony Forest, and the Charred Forest. Swamplands include the black marshes and the southern coast of the Avian territory.
Notable offshore islands include: the Skywryms's tail, the Cloud Isles, [REDACTED].
Six Regions[]

Agea - Uthopos - Political Map
Uthopos is divided into six different political regions, all of them populated by a different race.
Nymph Territory[]
The Nymphs inhabit the northernmost regions of Uthopos. Their territory consists of a long and mountainous peninsula, the [REDACTED], that stretches into the arctic regions of Agea. The Nymph territory is the smallest of the six political regions of Uthopos.
To the east of the Winter Spires, Northern Forest is located, which stretches across both the Nymph and Terran territory. The Frozen Knife is the main river in the Nymph territory, which flows from a lake. The bay to the east is known as Hydra's Cradle, while the sea to the west is called the Northern Sea. The coast to the west is constantly hit by strong winds and storms, leaving it frozen and barren.
The Nymph territories include the island [REDACED], located in the [REDACTED] inlet. It also includes the Three Sisters, the extension of the Winter Spires. These islands are the northernmost territory of Uthopos, rocky islands covered by snow and ice.
The northern climate is cold and harsh, especially during the winter when the sea north of Uthopos is known to freeze between the continent and the White Hell. Even during the summer it occasionally snows.
Fiend Territory[]
The Fiends control the largest territory, stretching from the Winter's Spires to the Draco Marches from north to south, and from the Central Mountains to the Western Sea from east to west.
The Fiend territory is divided into north and south by the Great Rift, a long inlet that reaches almost to the foot of the Central Mountains. Close to the sea, the coastlines across the Rift are stiff cliffs. The further into the continent, the narrower the Rift becomes, and the cliffs erode into beaches. The north and south are connected by a narrow gap of land between the Central Mountains and the Great Rift.
The northern half of the territory is filled with forests and grasslands. It is separated from the Terran territory by the [REDACTED] hills, and from the Nymph territories by the [REDACTED] inlet. The Ebony Woods are found here, along with the [REDACTED] a river that flows across the northern half of the territory until it arrives to the western sea.
The southern half is mostly covered by the Black Marshes, a large swamp located betwen the Stony Shore and the Central Mountains. The lake Basilisk Nest is found in the center of the swamp, and a single river flows down from it into the Great Rift, the Green Rush. Further south, the land becomes a grassland until it reaches the Red Marches.
Terran Territory[]
The Terran territory is located in the northeastern part of Uthopos, a land of vast plains, large forests and rugged hills.
The Terran territory limits with the [REDACTED] hills to the west, the Central Mountains to the southwest, and the Gap to the south. The exact limit with the Nymph territory is rather vague, as there's no clear geographical feature that separates both regions. Due to the lack of any natural defenses that may render an army unable to properly advance through the territory, the Terrans have had a history of being invaded rather easily. To counter this, however, they have focused on building strong castles.
Most of the territory is covered by the southern half of the Northern Forest, while the coast is a vast grassland that reaches into the Nymph territories. The major river is the [REDACTED], which has three different tributaries, one flowing from the Central Mountains, one from the hills, and the last one from the Winter Spires.
The Terran territory includes the islands Flint, Battle Isle, and the Shields.
Fairy Territory[]
The Fairies control the most fertile part of Uthopos, with numerous, well-populated villages and towns. The Central Mountains are to the east, while Endless Ocean is found to the east, to the south is the [REDACTED] bay, and to the north are the Gap and the Golden Hills.
The main river that crosses the land is the Angel's Tears, which flows into the [REDACTED] bay, and its source it's found in the Eye, the largest lake in all of Uthopos. The other river in the land is [REDACTED], which flows into the Storming Bay. The rivers and the frequent rains provide the land with plenty of water that makes the land very fertile and rich.
The Fairy territory includes the islands...
Avian Territory[]
The Avian territory is located in the southwestern region of Uthopos. It consists of the Rainbow Ridge, a vast mountain range that is considered to be impregnable, the valleys between the mountains, the coastline, and the islands that form an archipelago known as the Cloud Isles, close to the shores of the continent. Thanks to the impregnable mountains and the many islands across its coast, Avian Vale tends to be slightly isolated from the rest of Uthopos.
There are no major rivers in the Avian territory, but there are hundreds of small streams and creeks and flow down the mountains. The coastline of the Avian varies greatly between cliffs, swamps and beaches.
The Cloud Isles consists of an archipelago of six large islands and several dozen smaller ones, located to the east of Uthopos, in the Avian Sea. While the larger islands are mountainous, the smaller ones are covered with swamps and marshes.
Draco Territory[]
The southernmost region of Uthopos is inhabited by the Dracos. It is the hottest region of Uthopos, and it consists of a long and mountainous peninsula called the Dragon's Tail that stretches south, close to the tropical zone. The region is a rocky, mountainous, volcanic, arid, and dry peninsula, and it features the only desert on the continent. The region limits to the Red Marches and the [REDACTED] bay to the north, with the Rainbow Ridge to the west, with the Endless Ocean to the east and south.
Most of the territory is an arid wasteland. While the area to the west is a rocky and dry, it eventually becomes an arid desert filled with red, yellow, and orange sands. To the east, the Dragon's Spine is located, a mountainous and volcanic chain that stretches across a big part of the Dragon's Tail. The southern tip of the dragon's tail, along with the Skywrym's archipelago that stretches away from it and closer to the continent, creates a bay named The Jaws.
There's one major river, the Red Rush. It, along with a few other minor rivers, provides the Dracos with some fertile lands, and even during a long summer, there is enough rain and other supplies of water to keep the region habitable. In addition to this, the eruptions of the volcanoes along the Dragon's Tail make the territory rich in minerals, making it extremely fertile. The end of the Dragon's Tail, is covered by the Charred Forest, a tropical forest named that way since no matter how many times it burns, it always re-emerges.
The islands of the Skywrym's tail archipelago are covered in a similar forest.
Endless Ocean[]
The Endless Ocean is a massive body of water that completely sorrounds Uthopos, and covers most (if not all) of the surface of Agea.
To the north, the ocean limits with the White Hell, a wilderness of ice and snow which stretches across the artic regions of Agea. It consists of a ice pack that fluctuates depending on the season, becoming larger during winter and smaller during the summer months. It is ravaged by blizzards and the winds from its ice mountains scream and howl.
Close to the continent of Uthopos, the Ocean has been divided into seas, bays and inlets for the purpouse of political administration.
Unknown Lands[]
Little things are known about what lies beyond the ocean that surrounds Uthopos.
Most scholars agree that because the world is round, it is theoretically possible to sail west of Uthopos and eventually arrive to the east of the contient, but no one has ever succeeded in the attempt. There are basically three theories as to the size of the Endless Ocean: most believe that it is an ocean so vast that no ship could ever make the entire voyage all the way around the world without running out of supplies, while a few explorers dare hope that it is just large enough for ships to successfully complete the trip (if they can find safe passage, though none ever have). A very rare few have posed the controversial question that the Endless Ocean might be so vast that there are actually entirely new, undiscovered continents.
There have been numerous expeditions to find new lands. Most of them have ended in absolute failure, with the explorers have not even returned from the voyage. In other instances, just a few return, and most of those are unable to completely return to their normal lives before the expedition. Not even expert sailors and swimmers like the Nymphs, or riders of flying beasts, like the Dracos or Avians, have found other large landmasses.
Some have assumed that there must be land hidden beneath the ice of the White Hell, but no expedition north has confirmed this.
Trivia[]
- Agea is very inspired by other fantasy worlds from other works of fiction and real-life history.
